How We Started

We had our humble beginnings at a growing commercial avenue in Retiro Street, Quezon City in 2009. It all started with a vision, a small rented corner of a computer gaming hub, and a few friends who just loved playing Magic: the Gathering together every week. It took a couple of gaming tables, a small book stand that held a few binders, and a pair of glass display cases to show off a booster box from the latest Magic: the Gathering set, and suddenly our dream was a reality.

Starting from a personal collection spanning just under a thousand cards since 1996, our inventory grew year after year until it became the veritable mountain of cards that it is today. As our selection grew, the demand for availability and delivery options also followed. It is inevitable that we would take this step into the digital world, yet we will never forget our humble beginnings. At its core, CX MTG is a service by planeswalkers and for planeswalkers, and it is our sincerest desire to grow our business with this value at its core.

Everything in Between

We are a small team of passionate gamers who maintain a comfortable office for our operations and inventory in downtown Binondo. Generally, our creature types are human and we have mastered the art of transforming coffee into productive card sorting.

While our primary passion is Magic: the Gathering, we also enjoy a wide variety of activities ranging from delving into imaginary dungeons to slaying plastic eldritch horrors. Our current dream is that one day we may also be able to extend our services to accommodate a wider range of tabletop hobbies and become a one-stop shop for all things geek. Of course, if we’re being honest, we’d love to have our employee discount cover our other hobbies as well. Hope springs eternal, gamers!
